"Why are numbers beautiful? It’s like asking why is Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony beautiful. If you don’t see why, someone can’t tell you. I know numbers are beautiful. If they aren’t beautiful, nothing is."

Paul Erdos

teaching

My old physics teacher in high school in russia used to say that only the best student knows enough to get a C, only the best teacher knows enough to get a B, and only god knows everything.

I understand why people in my group complain about our tutor, sometimes i do it as well…well, actually, i do it a lot as well.

But it got me thinking about relationships between student+tutor. It should be inspiration to both and both should benefit. My tutor is very conservative, where as i am still exploring my creative side and trying to be more liberal. His conservatism makes me think a lot more carefully and i can see that i am becoming a lot more mature. I can see him becoming more acceptable of artistic search as well. He still thinks i am crazy. I still think he is too conservative.

I think it’s not a bad relationship between student and teacher. =)
